Hawkshead Hall farm a picturesque working farm set in 100 acres of unspoilt countryside in the heart of the Lake District. Just a quarter of a mile from the village of Hawkshead linked by a footpath from the site through the fields. The campsite has superb views on all sides of the surrounding area.
There are lots of great walks from the doorstep and an abundance of wildlife deer, foxes, squirrels, swallows, curlews along with some friendly farm animals.

The campsite is situated 1.5 miles south of the Visitor Centre at Grizedale. Grizedale valley itself lies between Coniston Water and Lake Windermere. A journey of four miles north takes you to the village of Hawkshead and a further 5 miles to Ambleside.Travelling south takes you to the local market town of Ulverston.
We have excellent facilities at our campsite with camping in the fields adjacent to the farm and in the wooded areas. Walks and cyclepaths adjoin the campsite, there is a local pub which serves homemade food, and shopping is available in Hawkshead.

Lake District Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast in the Rusland Valley
Crosslands Farm is a typical 17th century Lakeland farmhouse set in the unspoilt Rusland Valley between Coniston Water and Windermere. Close to Grizedale Forest and Hawkshead within the Lake District and the Furness Peninsula.
Anne and Dave Robinson have restored the house taking great care to preserve the character and calm of the building with, its slate flag floors, beams, low doors and other timbers. It is tastefully decorated and furnished.
